An exploration of the relationship between art and architecture. Windows create a framed perspective; with a slight shift we see something new. Placement becomes the dictator of what we see every day. With that in mind, this project is all about approaching the views of the coast and hillside accordingly. Irregular window sizes help develop this multistory piece. Each puncture of the building focuses on a different element of the landscape until the picture is complete.
The exterior material is a special interpretation of an abstract oil painting done by New York Artist, Stephen Cimini. Scaled up and materialized into a stone clad and wrapped around the building.
